Arario Gallery New York is the fourth expansion of Arario Gallery, which also operates spaces in Cheonan and Seoul, Korea and Beijing, China. Founded by businessman and collector Ci Kim in 1989, Arario Gallery is a worldwide leader in the exhibition of Asian art by both established and emerging talents. Arario Gallery was first established in Cheonan with the goal to educate the Korean public about its rapidly developing contemporary art scene. The Gallery’s mission has evolved with its expansion: Arario now seeks to build a cultural and educational bridge between East and West through the works of Asia's greatest contemporary artists.

Arario Gallery New York is designed by acclaimed architect David Adjaye. At 20,000 square feet, the space is among the largest contemporary galleries in the Chelsea district of New York City. It is divided into several galleries that allow for major solo or survey shows, as well as concurrent series of exhibitions and projects.
